About Us

Buck Architects (formerly Roger Buck and Associates) was established in Christchurch over 20 years ago as an innovative, personal, architectural practice.

The firm’s founder, Roger Buck, has always been acknowledged by colleagues and peers as a leading exponent of energy-efficient construction and sustainable building. Unfortunately, Roger passed away recently. He will be sorely missed as our colleague and invaluable mentor. We will endeavour to continue his passion and enthusiasm for energy efficient design and for the environment.

The practice undertakes residential as well as a variety of other project types including holiday accommodation, huts, alterations/additions, regenerations, hill site construction and light commercial work, predominantly throughout the South Island. Staff experience also includes work in Australia and Africa.
